Purpose of This Book
We lead busy lives! Many aspects of many cultures can take away from our relationships rather than adding to and building our relationships. Relationships are constant work and fun when “On the Same Page”™/©. I have designed this book as “2 for the price of 1”. The book has two identical daily pages, one for each of you. At the start of the day, you tear out/print out your page and take it with you wherever you go. Later in time, keep the pages and your notes altogether since you will want to review this workbook and some of the tasks call for review.Look at each page several times a day and accomplish the tasks as directed. Keep in mind that each of you have the identical page so that you can be “On the Same Page”™/© in the relationship. Each of you will be doing the tasks for Myself and for My Same Page Partner™/©. The principles and tasks will be teaching you how to grow together. It is a learn-and-grow book for adults.
It is a reflective book and an active book. It is a structured book and an “add as you grow” book. It is a book to establish a firm foundation or to do reparative, structural work. It is a refresher book and a primer. It is a book you will enjoy at times and will stretch you at other times. Further possibilities exist, as this is a male-friendly book as well as a female-friendly one. For years, people would tell me as any man and woman sat down together to do any relational workbook, “she says all the answers first and I feel like an emotional idiot” or “he just sits there and says ‘I don’t know’ or he says nothing at all”. This way a man can look over the material, ponder it, and touch base with a woman to be “On the Same Page”™/© after he has had time to reflect. They both are connected in this way. There are many other uses for “On the Same Page”™/© and we know this concept will grow!
Phase I: Purpose of the Workbooks Produced/To Be Produced
All societal problems are due to the breakdown of relationships. Today, people have not been taught how to maintain relationships. We want to teach how to build and maintain good relationships in both a male-friendly and female-friendly way.
The “OnTheSamePage”™/© workbooks used in conjunction with consulting and counseling will be written for the specific goals and services of the people employing our services. We will offer workbooks to the general population as well. All the workbooks will be reflective and interactive. We will have basic material and “add as you progress” material. The work we offer will establish a firm foundation or do reparative, structural work or both as needed. We will have primers and refreshers. The work people do “OnTheSamePage”™/© will be both enjoyable at times and challenging. Further possibilities exist, as this is a male-friendly approach as well as a female-friendly one. For years, people would tell us as any man and woman sat down together to do a relational workbook, “She says all the answers first and I feel like an emotional idiot!” or “He just sits there and says ‘I don’t know.’ or he says nothing at all!” This way one person in relationship, whether personal or professional, can look over the material, ponder it, and touch base with the other, in order to be “On the Same Page” ™/© after he or she has had time to reflect. They both feel connected in this way. Look at other ways in which it is possible for this concept to grow!
We can see our combined efforts adding a whole plethora of “On the Same Page” ™/© Seminars, books, web pages, events, media, theatre, music, planners, games, and marketing / reminder kits. Families “On the Same Page” ™/©, Stepfamilies “On the Same Page” ™/©, classes “On the Same Page” ™/© curriculum developed as well as for homeschools, Christian Schools, and other schools. College students “On the Same Page” ™/©, Alumni of ______ “On the Same Page” ™/© as well as a host of ideas we have been given and will be given. There will be both explicitly Christian versions and stealth versions, though still of Christian principles, just not overtly stated. Daily “On the Same Page Motivational Vitamins” can be sent out to subscribers, both broad market web services and specific key components/details to companies/HR departments that have outsourced consultation/team building services to us.
We need to register the trademark and copyrights formally though for now are protected property as “On the Same Page” ™/©. It will begin as a new, powerful relational workbook to be used in many settings. It will be marketed as being friendly to both sets of brains – female and male brains. The “On the Same Page” ™/© series of workbooks is for anyone ages 16 to 116 who want to boost their relationships and enjoy doing so. After, 26 years of experience as a counselor and educator, Al Sarno and staff want to provide others with a resource to build, enhance, and enjoy relationships in a fun, effective way.

In Al’s years of experience, he would assign workbooks that would elicit undesired responses from men like “she did all the work and I felt like a moron” or from women, undesired statements like “he just sat there and just said ‘I don’t know’ or ‘ok, whatever”. Even when a same gender work team or a group of students of all one gender did any other relational workbooks, he would hear undesired responses like “Too easy” from women or “we didn’t really go by the book” from men.
In talking to others around the country, Al Sarno found similar difficulties in getting the information across to the clients, students, workers, inmates, or any other group wanting to learn how to build effective relationships in a substantial yet fun way.
Now after three years of development, the series is ready to be made available to the general public.
